NEHO is a research project that aims at developing a novel integrated photonic circuit platform that enables ultrafast and low-energy consumption neuromorphic information processes by leveraging nonlinear photon-plasmon semiconductor technology at mid-infrared wavelengths.
In the long-term, NEHO could help to drastically reduce the energy requirements for training large AI models.
